08 Days Tibet Lhasa With Everest Base Camp Tour is one of the most popular tour in Tibet as it provides you with some of the wonders Tibet posses. Holy city Lhasa with Everest Base Camp Tour is the combination of cultural, historical and nature tour. This trip begins with an hour flight from Kathmandu straight to the holy city of Lhasa which is the heart and soul of Tibet. Here we will spend two days exploring the religious and historical sites of Lhasa i.e. Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monasteries, Bharkhor market and Norbulingka. Second leg of our journey will be driving from Lhasa along the friendship highway to the base camp (5,200 m) of the world highest peak Mt. Everest (8,848 m). This is truly a spectacular journey and the highlight of the trip. Enroute we will have an opportunity to explore some of the old Tibetan townships of Gyantse, Xigatse and Sakya. From Rongphu Monastery we will hike up to the North Everest Base Camp and explore the Rongbuk glacier set directly below the massive north face of Mount Everest (8848 m). After an enthralling moment and a magnificent view of the world’s highest mountain we drive to Kathmandu in Nepal.
ITINERARY
Day 01.
Fly to Lhasa 3,595 m then drive to Tsedang. Walking tour of Tibetan part.O/N Hotel
Day 02.
Today we will visit Potala Palace and Drepung Monasteries O/N Hotel
Day 03.
This day we will visit Jokhang Monastery and explore the bustling Bharkhor market, Tibetan medical centre and Norbulingka Palace O/N Hotel
Day 04.
We will drive to Gyantse (3,850 m) which is 261 km from Lhasa. Visit Palkor and Kumbum Monastery. O/N Hotel
Day 05.
Today is a short drive to Xigatse (3,900 m) which is 90 km . In Xigatse we will visit Tashilunpo Monastery.O/N Hotel
Day 06.
Drive to Rongbuk via Sakya. Overnight
Day 07.
Morning visit Everest Base Camp and then drive to Nyelam 3,750 m. Overnight
Day 08.
From Nyelam we drive to Kathmandu.
