Trekking in Tibet will provide you a completely different experience. You will be walking along the rugged Tibetan terrain greeted with different sights and landscape: from the arid Tibetan topography that resembles a lunar landscape to the ancient villages with their colorful prayer flags and magnificent monasteries.
Lhasa With Ganden Samye trek begins with a scenic flight over the Himalayas to Lhasa then the next two days will be spent visiting some of the most interesting sights in and around Lhasa. On the third day you will drive to Ganden, the starting point of the Samye Trek. Ganden Samye trek is a demanding trek it cross two high passes - Shug-la and Chitu-la, both of which are around 5000m. As you travel along the 80km trekking trail that skirts barley fields and nomadic pastureland, you get a chance to see the Tibetan lifestyle at close quarters and experience the real Tibet.
ITINERARY
Day 01. Kahtmandu Fly to Lhasa (3595m) and transfer to Hotel. Complete Rest day.
Day 02. Sightseeing of Potala, Jokhang & Barkhor market. Overnight hotel
Day 03. Tour of Drepung & Sera Monasteries. Overnight hotel
Day 04. Drive to Ganden (4500m).
Day 05. Trek to Yama Du.
Day 06. Trek to Chu Valley.
Day 07. Trek to Harders Camp.
Day 08. Trek to Wango.
Day 09. Trek to Samye and Drive to Tsedang.(3750m).
Day 10. Sight Seeing around Tsedang.
Day 11. Transfer to Airport and Fly to Kathmandu (1350m)
