Trekking in Nepal

Nepal offers an excellent variety of trekking options to visitors. Exploring Nepal can range from easy walking excursions, to a strenuous climb of the snowy peaks. The most rewarding way to experience Nepal's natural, and world famous attractions, is to walk through the length, breadth and onto the altitudes of the country. Trekking in Nepal is a big part to the ultimate Himalayan adventure, and the majority of tourists include trekking in Nepal as a part of their itinerary. Trekking has the benefit of creating a situation where the tourist comes in direct contact with the local community, giving them an intimate and friendly insight into the various cultures in Nepal.

Everest Area

With eight of the worlds ten highest peak, Nepal is loaded with spectacular mountains. The Everest Trek is justifiably famous not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain but also for its friendly Sherpa people, picturesque villages, great variety of cultures and traditions. The main goal of the trekkers to Everest region is to observe the world highest mountain along with the worlds other three highest mountains.

Annapurna Area

This is the most popular trekking area in Nepal, and with good reasons. Not only is it relatively accessible, but it offers both a variety of itineraries and a range of spectacular views.  Annapurna trekking region’s major highlights are the ancient mid-western salt-route, settlement of Manang, Thorongla Pass between Nepal and Tibet Muktinath Temple and the deepest gorge of world Kaligandaki. Upper Mustang of Lomanthang, the desert plateau located in the upper valley of the River Kaligandaki, and to the north of the main Himalayan range also falls in Annapurna region.

Langtang Area

This trek brings you to the Langtang Valley surrounded by Himalayan Peaks. Langtang Lirung-7240m and Ganesh Himal are the highest in the region. Trek to the sacred Lakes of Gosainkunda, climb the Gosainkunda Pass into the Valley of Helambu. This circuit finish in the Kathmandu valley a short distance from Kathmandu.
This trek is considered as a non-technical trek and suitable for average people. If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure you will enjoy this trek. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not to experience high altitude sickness. However you are requested to check your altitude fitness and the itinerary.

Trekking Peak Climbing in Nepal

For the more adventurous traveler, there are 18 minor Peaks open for Alpine climbing under Nepal Mountaineering Association. The climbing of these peaks is controlled under the rules & regulations formulated by this Association. Detailed information & application for climbing permits are available from the Association’s Office or contact your trekking Agency who are member of Nepal Mountaineering Association.

For climb the peak you do not have previous experience however the climbing team need to be prepare mentally as well as physically for the adventurous expeditions and required Ice and Snow climbing experience.  All mountaineering trips are run with professional Climbing Guides & Sherpas.
